Our Story

Founded in 2013, FC Advisors provides meaningful, knowledgeable investment and wealth-management counsel to a diverse range of clientele. David K. O'Mara, CFP®

Founder and Managing Partner

David K. O’Mara worked in financial advising for over a decade before launching FC Advisors. With successful tenures at MetLife Investors and Steadfast Capital Markets Group, he became acutely aware of the business models and investment management strategies that worked—and those that didn’t. In addition to utilizing Dave’s industry prowess, he managed to find the perfect avenue for his ability to foster deep trust and meaningful relationships. FC Advisors is the culmination of his financial industry experience and his heartfelt tendency to help others.

Jay Conway, CFA

Investment Manager

Jay Conway has over a decade of experience in the financial services industry and is a Chartered Financial Analyst®.  Prior to joining FC Advisors, Jay worked at Pioneer Investments where he worked collaboratively with both portfolio managers and financial advisors.  Working at the intersection of sophisticated investment strategies and advisors focusing on financial planning, Jay had the opportunity to observe the shortcomings that are prevalent today in the financial services industry.  Jay’s approach to “client first” financial advising brings together a deep understanding of financial markets along with his knowledge of the powerful psychological and emotional aspects of money & investing.  This allows Jay to offer a customized service to help his clients and their families understand their financial situation and achieve their goals.

Aunt Claire

Claire is Dave’s great aunt who dedicated herself to working with the poor and less fortunate wherever she was. She was always steadfast in her commitment to her beliefs and values. In 1995, New Rochelle College honored her, along with Rosa Parks, as a “Woman of Conscience.” Through her actions and their many conversations throughout the years, Claire impacted Dave’s interests in volunteering, his enjoyment of people and his desire to get involved in things that are bigger than he. She always encouraged Dave to follow his dreams, do good work and try to have fun.
